Dr. R. David Roden Jr. Jr. is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Roden Oral, Facial, and Dental Implant Surgery. He obtained a bachelor of science degree in pre-health, zoology from Auburn University and initially considered pursuing primary care medicine. However, after an enlightening experience in a dental office and discussions with a friend who is a dentist, he decided to explore dentistry. Subsequently, he was accepted into the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. In dental school, he realized that his passion lay in oral surgery, where he could utilize his comprehensive knowledge and skills to merge medicine with dentistry on a daily basis.
In 2010, Dr. Roden joined the esteemed oral surgery practice of Dr. H. Newton Burton, which later became Roden Oral, Facial, and Dental Implant Surgery following Dr. Burton's retirement. He aims to ensure that his patients feel at ease throughout their experience, offering personalized treatment options tailored to their needs. Additionally, he strives to provide efficient care by often conducting consultations and surgeries on the same day. Patients can expect to be well-informed, respected, and cared for by a team that prioritizes their well-being over mere dental concerns.
