What Is Dental 3D Imaging?
At Roden Oral, Facial, and Dental Implant Surgery, board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons Dr. R. David Roden Jr. and Dr. Rocklin Alling use advanced 3D imaging technology to enhance diagnostic precision and treatment planning. A 3D dental scan provides a detailed, three-dimensional view of the teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures, allowing for more accurate assessments of bone density, nerve pathways, and sinus locations. This cutting-edge imaging technique is essential for procedures like dental implants, wisdom teeth extractions, and jaw surgery, ensuring safer and more predictable outcomes. Call our Birmingham, AL office today to schedule a consultation and learn how 3D imaging can improve your dental treatment.
What Can I Expect from 3D Imaging?
3D dental imaging provides a quick and highly detailed dental image that allows for precise diagnosis and treatment planning. During the scan, a specialized machine rotates around your head, capturing multiple angles to create a comprehensive 3D model of your teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures. This advanced technology helps detect hidden issues, such as dental decay, assess bone density, and improve the accuracy of procedures like dental implants and extractions. With 3D dental imaging, you can expect a safer, more efficient process with minimal radiation exposure and clearer results for your dental care.
What Are the Benefits of a 3D Dental Scan?
A 3D dental scan offers enhanced accuracy and efficiency in diagnosing and planning dental treatments. This advanced technology provides benefits such as:
- Provides a detailed, three-dimensional view of teeth, jaw, and soft tissues
- Improves precision for procedures like dental implants and extractions
- Detects hidden dental issues that may not appear on traditional X-rays
- Reduces radiation exposure compared to older imaging methods
- Enhances treatment safety by identifying nerve pathways and bone structure
Roden Oral, Facial, and Dental Implant Surgery Reviews
I have had 2 children have wisdom teeth removed here. The staff are all very kind and friendly. The Dr follows up the next day. I would recommend to anyone needing an oral surgeon to come here !
I had a great experience at Roden Oral Surgery. The results were great and recovery was minimal. Dr. Roden’s staff is very professional and I would definitively recommend.
Dr. Roden and his entire team, from the moment I walked into the office until the moment that I walked out were all kind, helpful, calming and informative. His team explained clearly what they were doing, why, when and what to expect. They were kind, gentle and compassionate. If you or anyone you know who has a need for anything with oral surgery, you should come to this practice for care. You will be amazed beyond belief. I am grateful for all of their care and helping me with my needs.
My experience was great. I felt comfortable the entire time I was there. Everyone was very professional as well as friendly. Dr Roden took time to discuss options with me and answered all my questions. Upon leaving directions were very easy to understand. I will recommend Dr. Roden to everyone.
Dr. Roden is amazing! Him and his staff make you feel like family from start to finish. Everything went smoothly. I have gotten my wisdom teeth removed by him, and most recently had a dental implant put in. Both were very easy for recovery. The implant I have almost felt no pain... that's how you know you have a great surgeon. The staff makes you feel calm before the surgery, and answers all questions. Dr. Roden has called me after both procedures to check on how I was feeling. He is truly the best, and I recommend him to all my friends and family!!!
